[Editor’s note: British spelling due to the nature of today’s blog.] I must be the last person in the entire world to see current movies. I’m still waiting to see Prince Caspian. My kids just told me it’s out on video. So much for keeping abreast of popular culture.
I saw Quantum of Solace last night. For those of you who haven’t seen it, would I be spoiling anything if I said that one scene looks like it is straight out of one of the early Sean Connery Bond movies, except for the main color?
Speaking of that luscious Scotsman, Daniel Craig has displaced him as my favourite Bond. In order of hunkiness,
1. Daniel Craig
2. Sean Connery
3. Pierce Brosnan
4. Timothy Dalton
5. George Lazenby
6. Roger Moore

ReplyDeleteMy oldest son surprised me last week by bringing home the Prince Caspian dvd for me to watch. He really surprised me because, quite frankly, he's usually not that thoughtful. He said, "Mom, I know you wanted to see this in the theater but never got the chance." Ahhh, he made me melt.
I haven't seen all of the Bond movies so can't comment on that part. Comcast On Demand has been running them recently. I might have to watch some.

mmm... there's just something about Connery. Something about the accent & the way he carries himself. Still, Daniel Craig does have that sexy "I've been hit in the face a few times" look going on.

ReplyDeleteBond girls... too many good ones but pressed I've always adore Diana Rigg and Jill St. John. And like Shupe said above, it's voice, yeah, yeah that's it, the voice that does it for us guys. That's my story anyways and I'm stickin' to it.
I don't know.. I love Sean Connery, and I haven't seen Craig... But there was something about Pierce Brosnan I liked.. maybe not necessarily as Bond...LOL They've all been pretty decent.. for each generation of moviegoers, they each seem to fit. The bad guys are what change the most, I think.
