Truth or Consequences

You're all sworn to secrecy about what I'm going to tell you.  The reason for the secrecy is also the reason you're reading this here on Blogspot rather than on the MSN site.  My former blog is shuttered because of a stalker.  Bear with me in my cryptic ways of blogging.  It's for safety reasons.

Last month, after taking time away from the paid workforce to raise my children, I accepted a job with an incoming Member of C0ngress* from my home state.  One of my blogs described the journey to this job.  During the first week in the office, my boss was interviewed for one of the three major nightly news programs.  In the segment was a very quick shot of me at work at my desk while his press secretary stood beside my chair.  We were in the background as he was moving some things into the office.  It's around the ten minute mark in the video.

My apologies for not explicitly saying my boss's name or home state.  Please understand my need for a bit of privacy.  Even by posting the past few blogs, my fear is that someone can still piece together too much information.  Now for the consequences.

Please, please, please, if you have figured out all (even with my cryptic writing), keep it to yourself.  If my stalker ever discovers this site, it too will be taken down.

*Purposefully typed wrong to throw off search engines.

  1. So I should go take down all the links I put all over facebook, twitter, and email to your blog so people could watch your video? Not really. I think of our blogs as Vegas...what happens here stays here...

  2. It was odd how Spaces attracted so many angry and bitter people. I have found Blogger to be a gateway to a much nicer community, although I can't really figure out why there should be a difference.

In terms of privacy I guess now that you have posted the video and let people take a look at it I would take the post down so that I will be hard to find in the future and require sifting through archiving sites. Thus you have accomplished a goal of sharing something nice but it will be more obscured going forward.

  4. I loved it! Although I wish you'd looked up! I agree.. just take that post down, or take the link out. I've known about this problem, of course, but hadn't thought of them finding this one.. Consider us all mum!

  5. I agree with Laoch. If you do not want to be found do not make it easy to be found. And Like I've told you before, If there is someone causing you problems on the internet... delete them. they are ghost. If they come and knock on your front door... that's a whole other critter!! that's what protective orders are for! If they come to your office same thing, protective orders. You do not have to put up with being bullied in no way shape or form!

Now me, I'm totally real!! wink wink

  6. DUH! Now you describe the scene that you were in! I sat through a 1/2 hour clip and missed your "1.5 seconds of fame"!
Nice thing about Blogspot isthat we have to go through this "verification stuff to comment".
It should cut down all the spammer crap that happened with the old spot!

  7. from what I remember from that news spot - you might be who I think you are... which is interesting... sometimes I am not who I think I am... your secret is safe with me... did you read about the person pretending to be me contacting people that I know through the internet? it's a world full of crazies.

  9. Well I've just recently posted about my fantasies about being a stalker, but I've not been on the receiving end.

I hope you manage to remain incognito. I'll keep my mouth shut.
